  • The New York New Church 114 East 34th Street New York, NY, 10016 United States (map)

The Ben Franklin Circles reflects a shared commitment to fostering civic participation, open dialogue, and ethics-based leadership. Now, almost 300 years later, the Ben Franklin Circles are revisiting and redefining these virtues—as tools to enrich our own lives and our communities today. BFC is a collaborative project of 92nd Street Y (92Y), the Hoover Institution, and Citizen University.

The 13 Virtues: temperance / silence / order / resolution / frugality / industry / sincerity justice / moderation / cleanliness / tranquility / chastity / humility.

Founding father, master inventor: Benjamin Franklin was also a pioneer of self-improvement. In 1727 Franklin formed the Junto, a weekly mutual-improvement club made up of individuals with an array of interests and skills.
